Cathartic

Waking up
Knowing I
could have
been better

The sun 
will rise
and it
will set
until time
ends

without
a Cathartic
resolution
to the 
debt I feel
for the
pain I 
have caused

Never meant 
to be 
a burden
but once 
I asked
there was 
no turning back

Today I am
attempting absolution
maybe caring
for those you 
loved
will bring
some sort
of atonement

regardless I
am walking
down that pathway
with an
expectation of nothing

just a 
cathartic release
to a
pitiful soul
