Poem -

Cedar Chest

Such electric—this love: a fervent tear; and key to soul—a
Glass of cheer; and dance a pearl—the length of love; and feel
The heart—the rush of blood; and pardon sin—a must express:
A wistful love: a spear and vest; and touch a rune—a mystic

Wish: a gentle tug: a nudge and kiss; and listen—love—a
Garden rose: a petal scent: a leaf of prose; and attic flame, the
Fame of thought: the pain of love: the rain of salt; and passion
Swift, a gift to fly: a fruit to grow: the zest of why; and dream

The lark: the pith of joy: the web of hearts—the sparks of ploy;
And dance and glide—the waltz of life: a diamond gem: the
Hem of strife; and gothic love—a touch of wrath: a need to
Guile: and wow the math; and feathered wings—a feeling deep:
A motion heard: a sake to keep; and saint to love—a woman’s
Voice: a soothing touch—a crane to hoist.
