looking back I clearly see, all that you lacked was because of me

I know you didn’t have the things the heart desired, nor did you follow the dreams you once had, because of us children that you had acquired, I we drove you mad  

You gave up the things you longed for all your life long because we needed clothing from the best store to feel we belonged

As an adult now I clearly see all you had to sacrifice, replacing your wants and needs to reach our ever growing price, put love indeed

This is years to late to say, to tell you thank you for all you graciously gave away I’m hopeful that this Mother’s Day you are listening and feel the love that has never strayed  

May this heartfelt poem carry through heavens gate from all your children who vary but continuously wait 

To stand on the streets of gold out beyond the crystal seas you share with us the beauties untold, externally beside thee
