CHAINED MELODY

CHAINED MELODY

We all have chains which can be interpreted as pains,
take them from your heart in order to make gains;
someone said: 'I hope that I die before I get old,'
it may not happen and you'll have to do as you're told.

Isn't fate a strange thing, manipulate what may bring,
ease lady luck your way, without it there's nothing;
I wasn't on the plane, there were no survivors,
had to stay for a funeral,  no one knows the cause.

The old scenario - standing behind a tree at your own,
'Don't I know you?' Three times I said: 'Leave me alone,'
now I'm free, no one or nothing can ever really touch me,
'Are you happy now?' 'Yes - I'm where I would like to be.'

That 'plan' again - someone said really that Jesus lied,
was that true? Only you will know when you've finally died.
