Poem -

Champagne

Through the blue smoke rings I see her.
So beautiful to see her sweet smile again.
On his arm she looks so lovely.
In my hand I hold a glass of champagne.

We used to sit together
At that table in this bar.
Her eyes so bright and blue.
Now she sitting here with you.

Don’t let her look please don’t let her see
Please don’t let her blue eyes turn to me
I Have cigarette smoke is in my eyes
That’s why my tears are falling
Please do not let her see me cry.

A drink it helps to fight the pain
I lift my glass and sip my Champagne.
They are dancing so close together
Just those two upon the floor
I place my champagne on the bar
And quietly walk out of the door
