A CHANGE OF HEART

I've used up all of my chances 
I've played the fool for too long 
I've lied, I've cheated, and broke your heart 
Now its time I make right my wrongs.
I've come to my senses 
I am ashamed of the things I've done 
You deserve the best that life can offer 
But instead you were stuck with the worst.
I have a new way of thinking 
I finally see the light 
No more slipping in the darkness 
I am determined to walk upright.
And if your heart rejects me 
I am to be blamed 
But if by chance you can forgive me 
Your life would never be the same.
