Poem -

Changed

You are a warm wind that blows as the door opens on a cold winter's day

for long I stood unmoved

for long I remained unchanged

Like a slow waltz under the warmth of the moonlight

A night compared to many starry night’s

A stroke from the artist’ loving hand

As newly married couple’s look so deeply into each other’s eyes

A childlike innocence, a welcoming gentleness alike

Staggered by your beauty

I stand amazed

I cannot stop these tears from falling

They magnify the one within

There’s a truth in each and every teardrop

Exposing the vulnerability of the soul

No longer will I stand unmoved

No longer will I remain unchanged

A lifetime of motionless torpidity

Can be changed in a moment

In a glance

Or even a word
