CHARLES (A KING IN WAITING)

This poem is about one of life's fortunate males
His official title is The Prince of Wales 
Christened Charles at birth by our dear Queen
No proper work has this man seen 

I am sure that he has servants by the score 
A chauffeur driven limo taken to his front door
I wonder what it's like to be wealthy and rich
Surely life is smooth and goes without a hitch

Charles has to be patient and is asked to wait
For his mum the Queen to step down and abdicate
Then he will have a fulfilling job to do 
Ruling people just like me and you
