CHARLIE THE CHIMPANZEE

This little tale is of Charlie the chimpanzee
In human years he was almost three
A cute and adorable chimp was he
Learning how to climb from tree to tree

Charlie's mother was named Annie ape
Locked in her cage she wanted to escape
This was down to paperwork and red tape
How she needed Superman with his blue cape

Charlie missed his mother that is for sure
If he had a key he would unlock that door
Why on earth should she be locked up for ?
Animals should not be kept hostage anymore
