The Chase

Wind whispers through the fading trees
Listen as the leaves rustle in the wind
As the trees sway bowing to its will
Water ripples across the surface
Slicing through, cutting circles
Chasing animals across the land
Falcons, Eagles cut through the sky
Fighting for their lives as they ride
On the winds through the sky
Summer breezes drowned the heat
Autumn breezes make everything freeze
Run for your life, don’t let it catch you
It’ll rush up behind you and push you down
Bear you down to the ground
Wind carries the souls of those who have passed
Carrying them home without
Glancing back
Say good-bye
Never to see that land again
