Chatter

The chatter which is not real,
The chatter that thinks it knows the deal.
The chatter that thinks it owns us,
The chatter that causes all the fuss.
The chatter that makes its own observation,
Minutes, days, weeks after a conversation.
What is all this chatter for,
And does it really know what's in store.
Perhaps the question that should be asked,
Does that chatter fulfil a task?
Does it tell you what you see?
Can it decipher the enemy?
And can it feel their energy?
Does it really speak from the moment,
Or is it just one that it has chosen.
One that it can grasp to so tightly,
So it can just carry on fighting.
Throw those questions at the chatter,
Then what it says tends not to matter.
