Fiction

I was born
with a
name in capital letters
giving the cooperation
my uniform
how was I to know
It was a fiction
A dead man
never living
A straw man
in upper case
devoid of thinking
an empty vessel
without a soul
just a barcode
on the pay roll
for those in control
living a life
with their twisted
morals
following laws
with no sense
at all
with empty promises
of reaching a goal
on a conveyor belt
grinding all of
our souls
with freedoms
and assets
not worth any gold
if only there was
someway I could
break free
from it all
then the fiction
I’ve been living
could tell a tale
never
been told.

Wow WESLEY!!.....this is quite clever and has some VERY memorable phrasing within ~
~ "Just a barcode
On the payroll
For those in control..."

Thank you so much. I'm really pleased with that one.
I was going to pick out the same lines that Tony picked out. I love those lines - they say it all 👍 x
