Chess

~~Chess
I was thinking about the game of chess,
Who made the players in black and white?
Was there more involved with this,
A deeper meaning aimed at life.
I ask you this my friends,
Does the hero ever wear black?
Don’t mean this in a nasty sense,
The colours always white, why is that?
If we depict a sense of right and wrong,
And you thought of a colour.
I bet the wrong is dressed in black,
The right dressed in the other.
In this world we call our home,
We are all the same?
Regardless of your suit of skin,
Choice words will cause us pain.
Let’s get things in the open,
The future is ours to keep.
If you are a serial colour,
Racism still runs skin deep.
The world chose to close its eyes,
Hatred is their song.
It happens to us every day,
It’s them that don’t belong.
Stand side by side together,
We all must take a stance.
Once it’s gone forever more,
We just might have a chance.
I was thinking about the game of chess,
Who made the players in black and white?
Just because it’s always been,
Wont ever, make it right.
