"Child Set Free"

"Child Set Free"

There she goes, my baby
Whom I love so much
Her fragile skin used to be
So soft to the touch
Now...now it's got a tattoo
A lioness at full roar
Who knew she thought her life
Could be such a bore?
If it's me, I'd do anything
Anything for her
'No,' she says
Its not you in the least
It's my boyfriend, Levi
Who acts like such a beast
Sometimes I can control him
Yet sometimes I can't
And I don't want my love
To act as just a supplement
'Well, then stay!' I beg and plead through the night
But she won't hear any of it
And disappears, her lips shut tight.
