Childlike Imagination
I often wonder if there is a place where everything I could ever possibly think of would exist,
I often wonder if I would enter this place but falling down a rabbit hole much like Alice,
I often wonder if a three-headed dragon sits guard at the gates to this place,
I often wonder if I could live in this place rather than the real world,
The place I escape to when all becomes too much.
Would I meet creatures of all shapes and sizes?Â
Perhaps I would befriend a mouse the size of an elephant,
And what about the flowers I would find in my world?
They would be unique, impossible in nature, instead of Red roses they would be blue, and the sky would be a foreign pink.
I'd be the ruler of this realm, not a nasty one but a funny one.
If only a place like this did exist in my world,
Ever since I can remember, every time I fell asleep I'd be in this strange world,
Stories upon stories I've dedicated to the creatures that dwell here,
But a last, I know such a place can only exist in the mind of a child,
There minds innocent and pure of all the conflict in the world.
