Children dreaming

*Disclaimer this is my first and maybe only attempt at a children's poem but we will have to see how this turns out.

Bouncing giggling on the clouds
while their snoring becomes loud
little children fast asleep
while in their dreams they fly and leap

Up high above the clouds
the birds fly past in orchestrated crowds
squawking squabbling with each other
babies feeding with their mother

down below where Candyland lies
just below the magic dream sky
more fun characters to meet
like all the friends from sesame street

Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue
on the gumballs that you chew
Magical dreamland home to all
children sizes short and tall

Then as the sun rises so do we
as the magic Candyland people begin to flee
but do not fret and do not fear
you can dream any night of the year

so Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
your dreams will be back tonight when you lie
in your bed, all snuggled up tight
like they do most every night
