Choose Kindness, Always

The quality of your life,
nay, the fact youâve survived at all,
is the result of hundreds loving you.
To some degree, at some point.
Everyone youâve encountered,
from your first breath,
to the present moment,
who has shown you kindness,
is the reason youâve made it this far.
Helping hands and gentle words
are not merely smile curvers,
mood lifters and door holders;
they have been death preventers,
of body, spirit, and both.
To some degree, at some point.
Even when mothers abandon,
strangers offer refuge and love.
So always choose kindness.
Always curve smiles.
Always lift moods.
Always open doors.
Nothing is inherently evil.
Selfishness embodies and wrecks those
who have not been shown kindness,
so do your best to choose it.
Always.
Practice the art of choosing
for so long, until you choose
kindness to the utmost degree,
at every point.
Always.

Hello WordsmithÂ
welcome to cosmo đ I think this is a truly attentive poem, that can surly only ever lift a readers spirit to feel the love in these kind words. I really liked the lines
Always curve smiles.
Always lift moods.
Always open doors.
Reads a bit like a mantra. Little things can mean a lot. You captured that here beautifully.Â
Thanks for choosing cosmo to share such a lovely poemÂ
