Christmas in a combat zone.

120 pounds on my back and a rifle in my hands
forging our path up the snowy mountain side of this forgein land
my brothers to my left and rightÂ
the heat from the barrel of this 50 cal is the only thing keeping me warm tonight
not a fat man with presents or reindeer in sight
not even a telephone call to a loved one, but thats alright
3 years ago, down to this very day
I rose my right hand and swore an oath
to protect the land that I love.
The faces of family, friends, and loved ones are the only thing I see
when I look above
at the unforgving warzone sky
painting pretty pictures of orange blasts and yellow muzzle flash
singing a symphony of drummer boy bombs
December 25th is just another day to us
Always faithful, let my bullets fly tried and true
So sleep tight America knowing we do this for you.
