Christmas Everyday

Christmas Everyday

Christmas Everyday
In the wee hours of the morning
each day I arise;
awaken by graced anticipation
under the morning sky.
A bright star beams down, to welcome my day
It's Like Christmas morning...in EVERY WAY.
Like a child giddy with wonderment
and eager delight,
I  proceed down the stairs...
with treasures in sight
to open...just the "one"
gift of all gifts, the chosen one.
A gift from a friend
which He bestowed to me,
with His unspeakable grace
for all to see.
The cost of this purchase
causes tears on my face.
I'm unworthy, undeserving
an utter disgrace.
Yet, Joy fills my heart with the purchase He made
as I open my gift on this brand new day.
His WORD Speaks wonders
revealed wisdom and Love.
Herald words about Jesus
come down from above.
To read the Bible each day when I rise
Is like having Christmas "everyday"
through the eyes of a child.
