CHRISTMAS NIGHT

CHRISTMAS NIGHT

The snow falls silently
on a winter night full of joy and warmth
A festive table
children looking out the window
Voices mingle in the room
between stories and laughter
smiles and hugs
Crackling of a flame
burning in the fireplace
gives warmth by warming your heart
We get lost and travel
between memories and dreams of a past childhood
that you would like
remained unchanged
You look at a candle that slowly burns out
Hoping that the year to come too
may once again reserve you
a night like this
special
Christmas night
