Christmas Ornament

Christmas Ornament

A Christmas Ornament
fell close
To the
Tree

Small
Residue
of
Brown
Blood
Could
be seen
On
The outer
Shell
Of its
Vessel

Secrets
Hidden

Only
wild
Speculations
of the
Stories
It
Holds

Mary
Had
A little
lamb
Who
Knew
Of
The
Unedited
nativity
Story
Nestled
Next
to
Abandoned
Pine
Needles
On
The
Family
Living
Room
Floor

Schizophrenia
Seeps
Through
The
Veins
From
The
Puzzle
Up
Above
Is
It
All pure
Delusions
Or

Gateway
To
An anti social
Mind

Santa
Came
Presents
Opened

Wise men
sat
At
The dining room
Table
Feasting
On a
Crown
Of Mutton
While
Glaring
At a shiny star

Leaving
The
Dark
Tale
Forever
Silenced
Of the
Christmas
Ornament
That lies
Discreetly
On
The floor

A pagan holiday
Was
Renamed
Ensuring
Centuries
Of
Gluttony
Disguised
As a Holy
Birthday

I liked the format of the poem. The tone is dampened slightly, at the end seems more coarse.

Most powerful lines:

Disguised
As a Holy
Birthday

Interesting realm of thought.

Happy Holidays
Keep writing!

this is a dark view of christianity.  The Lamb and the " Mutton" is the lamb of God.  The Crown symbolizes the king of kings.  I did this purposely. The coarse tone at the end was meant to shake the foundation of the Theolgian reader. I did not expect the average reader to comprehend this. I think you did well
