A Christmas Young

A Christmas Young

With church bells ringing
We make our exodus escape from late mass for home,
I recall that young boy age of eight
My how the time has flown.

We study the skies in hopes of a glimpse
Search lights circle the stars
With my dad and brother
And the Christmas spirit high in our hearts.

But what did appear,
Or what did we think we saw?
Thirty two hooves galloping in sky
A jingling sleigh pulled behind in thraw.

We stood staring and still
Jaws agaped in the footprints of freshly fallen snow,
Listening real hard through Christmas Eve's excitement
To the merry Christmas calling laughter and the ho ho hos.

I laugh at the memory
For imagination can get the best,
Ill pretend like my dad with my children believing we saw Santa
Remembering a young Christmas to be Merry like the rest.

Yo big brother, I feel like I can release the inner child on Christmas and really enjoy it with the kids, but I like embracing the adult Christmas parties are some of the best. Thanks T anf a very merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hi Devon being young during my childhood.  I remember things like this , watching the weather man for a sighting of Santa now sounds so silly but being a kid during that time I will never forget.  Thanks for sharing your memories. Hrl

Hello beautiful flower Iam touched you got emotional with this write because it reminds you of some of the happiest times in your childhood or vicariously experiencing through anothers. I don't discredit anyones opinion because the way my write spoke to you is the most important thing I give yo the readers. Thanks for the purple ink and those purple tears, and much love to you.
