Poem -

Church Aisle

Wedding bells ring,
bright lights glisten in every direction.Ā

I’m frozen,
at the end of the aisle,
watching you.Ā

I see my favourite lilies,
I see all dressed in white.
Only,I don’t see your face.

Im watching you,
trying to pin old memories toĀ
that blurry face.Ā
And they never fit.

You repeat in my dreams,
likeĀ trying to make sense of a deja-vu memory.Ā

I’m at the end of the aisle.Ā
Watching you-as others gaze at me.Ā

But why does it feel like it’s the end of me?
