Gun shootings are

so common place,

do they really count

for news in the U.S.

anymore?

and covers, 

and covers to get 

all the gory facts

in the tryanny of the urgent

revealing new

tid bit by
tid bit

each half hour

just in time for our collective

memories to  forget the

last mass shooting and 

terrorist act

UNTIL

the next tragedy

despite the same prayers

prayed

week after week,

year after year,

decade after decade....

The rights of the

mentally ill are more 

important than public safety -

lobbiest $ and influence

are stronger than God

in the land of the free.

It makes me feel

powerlesss,
fearful
jaded and
exhausted.
