Circus And Bread...

Circus And Bread...

If we already have circus and bread,
As a species, are we already dead?
Go to the doctor and big pharma said,
Take two a day and get back into bed!

We go where the devil is not, but where creatures control the sky,
Dare we sing to the mythical and yet dampen a world where magic shines,
Do we defy the laws of gravity with the energy bestowed upon a soul,
Dare we seek where only the sacred go, shall we walk the footsteps of forgotten ghosts.

Where beauty is disguised within a porcelain face, shadows wander our fakened days,
Dare we sing the truth once more, or is it merely lies we take to our mortal grave,
Do we shake hands with the enemy and rejoice in a future humanity,
Dare we speak with lizard tongue with venom penetrating a society.

If we already have circus and bread,
As a species, are we already dead?
Went to the doctor and big pharma said,
Take two a day and get back into bed!

Where life gets rough and the stars disperse, will we have anybody left in this world,
Dare we step into the technological age and cement ourselves in historical birth,
Do we need all that is at hand, superficial dystopia digesting our youth,
Dare we chastise and condemn the innocent without any evidential proof.

Where the ivory tower showers down,
We taste the crumbs of entertainment,
With circus and bread, gluttony is our crown,
Again, we're a product of our environment.

"Eat up, it's getting cold..."
