Clair De Lune

Inspired by Claude Achille Debussy
.
The most beautiful musical composition, is the incomparable “Clair De Lune”;
Composed by Claude Achille Debussy, about the clarity of the moon!
It’s melody is so ethereal, it brings teardrops to my eyes;
To me, this unparalleled masterpiece, is our music’s greatest prize!
.
I listen to each enchanting note, as they echo in my soul;
They take me back so many years, as my life begins unfold!
I think about the mistakes I made, my heart heavy with despair;
I remember those I loved so dear, but no longer are they there!
.
I drift upwards towards the Heavens, and touch some distant stars;
I hear voices from them calling me, Blessed Angels from afar!
They tell me they are waiting, at the Gates of Paradise;
And that some day in the future, to there I’ll also rise!
.
As it comes to its crescendo, my journey comes to end;
It has brought to me some closure, and my soul some needed mend!
I say “Thank you Master Debussy, for this gift to all Mankind”;
“I’m sure if I get to Heaven, you too there will I find”!
.
Fly me to the moon
Take me to the distant stars
Enrapture my soul
.

My Dear Debs,
How lovely of you to read my words, then listen to the notes that have inspired them. As a poet, I could ask no more from someone who is interested in the power of my prose, to try to understand the passion that I have portrayed. It makes me even happier, that after hearing the same sounds, you elaborated on their beauty. Thank you for this wonderful gesture.
Hugs, Peace and Love,

My Dear Shirley,

You can almost hear the music in your write. Majestic display of words, emotion and imagery.
"If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die."
Shakespeare, Twelfth Night
My Dear Friend Lost,
You write some of the most beautiful responses I have ever received on Cosmo. From that first one you sent, I felt we had an instant bond, and every day now, my instincts are proven to be true. I am honored to have made your acquaintance, and look forward to spending many years with my new poetic soulmate.
Peace and Love,
