Mopping Up

The steady drip drip
of mutual antagonism
over the years
caused this relationship
to dissolve
into a puddle of tears

No one is to blame
is the polite 
political thing to say
but this is just a cop out
is it not?

We own this mess
and are gonna need
a big ass mop
to clean it up
