CLOSED BEHIND DOORS

Closed behind doors
Thank God for my four paws
She seems to know
I have to be alone
Sure, there’s a voice on the phone
But no hand to hold
No smile to see
Just my dog and me
A prisoner locked in
Without committing a crime
Sadness deep with in
More than a moment in time
Months have gone by
Tears I cry
Will life ever be normal again
Or is this the new pain
No one seems to be taking action
For those who are to blame
I don’t understand people’s reaction
So calm but I’m going insane
I can’t look out of my window
As there is nothing there
The world has gone away
As if no one to care
But the birds sing their sweet song
And then I feel I belong
And then I read of human destruction
And life for them goes on
No one has learned a lesson
We should have read this as a blessing
Our world is dying
Some, humans are crying
Grieving
But what can we do?
The wrong people are suffering
Whilst the evil continue
What will the outcome be?
Let’s wait and see

Being Me

Such heartfelt words, Fiona. Brilliantly expressed frustration. I was hoping that we would all put up with the lockdown for as long as was needed and then, when it was safe, we could continue albeit very carefully. But the government has eased the restrictions making it dangerous for us all (in my opinion). So I think the infections and death rate will eventually soar through the roof again and we will find ourselves back at the starting gate. Those who have been having to strictly isolate will be suffering even more. I hate this situation. Past governments should have looked after our NHS better... But they didn't and now we are paying the price. When will things ever be normal again?

Is it really?  That's bloody Tories for you??  Hunting? My heart breaks for those poor animals chased to their grisly death. Plus...it will be a lovely environment for the virus to spread. Argh!!!

Yes, hunting and fishing it’s tragic. Have you noticed how beautiful the birds are singing this year? I live in a city and it’s so noisy but with less traffic the birds have been sounding so loud and beautiful. If this world was left to animals it would be glorious.

Such deep sorrow running through this Fiona...which I share, I agree we should have taken this time to adjust our world but that will never happen. Greed power and corruption will win as always but then I wonder at the stupidness of a species that keeps voting in people who uphold these principles above decency kindness fairness and compassion. I am gutted to hear about the hunting, animals being my one major concern and hurt in this life....hugs ?

Hello sweet lady. Isn’t it sad that we have not learnt anything from this or perhaps some people have but sadly not enough. Hope you are keeping well X

Life and work go on for me as normal unfortunately, I should have liked to be locked down in quiet for a while, just silly enough to choose the wrong job...lol. Seriously though...I hope to god the world wakes up and changes! Hugs ?
