Cloud Watching

Cloud Watching

As I sit below you
Smiling up at the skies
I can almost make out your warm smile in the clouds.
That smile that has comforted hundreds
That smile that I won't ever see again.
Your smile
Comforted me in my darkest times.
But don't you think it's funny
That my darkest time was losing you?
All I've wanted since you went up into the sky,
Was to see that smiling face
And know that I'd be alright.
You see,
I'm not angry at you for leaving me like this.
No, I swear I'm not.
Because when I need your comforting face
I look into the clouds
And know that I'm going to be alright.
