clouds

clouds

white clouds beaming in the sky
drifting and sitting through the blue
sometimes we think they may be asleep
because they seem so silent above our heads

a single cloud spending the day on its own
or maybe lots of  white shapes together being gentle in the vast sky
high and a bright white they appear when they want

they really do look just so calm
sitting there with silence in there shapes
but when there are rain clouds they become heavy
letting the showers fall from within
it's hard to imagine it isn't loud in some clouds
i'm sure it also feels like a relief to be free of waiting rain

i look at the clouds on this land
the ones that disappeared and then appeared
i wonder is that the same cloud i saw yesterday
and would the doves love to sit on top
and is it better when the gold sunshine sits with those mysterious clouds
