Clumsy Mumsy

Clumsy Mumsy

Awkward and clumsy
not an elegant mumsy
happy but dowdy
not hello but howdy

House not spotless
unkempt and careless
kids ok nonetheless
with her love their blessed

There always well turned out
you’d never hear her shout
laughs as they gad about
only praise from her mouth

I’d rather her any day
than Ms. Prim down the way
she’ll be there come what may
on her shoulder they can lay

Really enjoyed this poem Susan. Reminds me of my kids....... "leave the cleaning, tomorrows another day and whose going to care its only us living here!!! :)

lol like the attitude Jacinta I have a little thing on my windowsill that says 'housework never killed anyone but why take the chance' I had my son very young wuld have loved another but it wasn't to be then met my new hubby late in life 44 last year ah that ship has sailed x
