Coco the clown

Coco the clown

Dressed up in joviality, top to toe looking bemused

Baggy breeches, colossal shoes, he keeps the children amused

His job is to entertain in the big top rings

One can watch him at the circus with all the fun that he brings

With his bright red nose and a white painted face

He turns his frown upside down to make him appear a cheerful case

But sometimes he has to pretend he is always happy

Coz kiddies don’t want to see someone miserable, they are looking for a likeable laughing chappy

So he can’t let his mask down on that cheerful, happy face

If one could actually see through his disguise, well that would be an utter disgrace....

As he marches in a circle he is the leader of his band

With two large loud cymbals banging in each hand

Then he pulls out his water pistol tho it resembles a flower

Squirting all the front row he gives the little’uns a shower

Roll up everybody there’s a circus in your town.

With acrobats, fire-eaters and Coco the clown...
