Poem -

Coffee.

The other day someone asked me why I was drinking black coffee and I simply said that it's what I preferred.

I couldn't dare tell them that I cannot fathom the thought of having something sweet touch my lips that wasn't your mouth.

I wouldn't tell them that without you my life is like that coffee. Bitter and harsh and hard to swallow.

There was no way I was going to tell them that every single time I taste French Vanilla I am transported back into your bed.

It would be so ridiculous to admit that sugar is no longer the sweetest thing that I have ever tasted because I used to drown in your kisses.

The other day someone asked why I was still in love with you and I simply said that you were my morning coffee and it would be impossible for me to survive a day without consuming your love.
