Coffee, ‘Cloud nine’?

Coffee, ‘Cloud nine’?

A delicious aroma of chestnut coffee beans
Wafts teasingly from my machine
My initial thought in the early morning
I bet you know what I mean

I’m unfunctional
until I fulfill this need
Yet after my early habitual cuppa
I can face the world indeed

Tantilizing my tastebuds
I sip caressingly from my cup
Invigorating my senses
Endeavouring each smooth sup

A richness of snuff-coloured sepia
Toasted terra-cotta
Beautifully, bronzed, burnt sienna
My melodious medley sonata

Imagine streaky sways of sumptuous steaminess
A voluptuousness devine
Have I portrayed my mind’s imagery
As I ponder on ‘Cloud nine’

I adore my ‘Tassimo’ gadget
It holds precedence above all
My personal ‘Tool of tricks’
An essential Jill’s necessity ‘Fix’
