Cold Angel

She tasted like a winter morning, sharp,cold unyielding,
yet he kissed her still.
Eyes crystal clear,her gaze penetrated his lonely soul,
he surrendered to it,Β
catching a glimpse of a smile half etched in that perfect face,
his hand clasped hers.
Words cascading through his befuddled mind
yet only a silent torturedΒ sigh escaped..
βSave me save me someone, anyoneβ
but the silence cried,without a scream.
How had she found him so easily?..
a countenance that unmistakably said βIβm lonelyβ
Unprotected he became preyΒ to her parasitic hold.
He ached to be needed.
She needed his fear.
This child of the damned.
Her Β ice would not melt, his heart though..would
and Β still ...he kissed her....
