Poem -

A Condomning Debut

Florescent lights have never set the stage better.
The main curtain is drawn…
And the faucet begins to play the opening number,
Fingers lightly tap keys of a grand piano upon my back
                  (Enter stage left)

It catches my eye.
Oh thee effect-
The piercing lights and a porcelain back drop
Emphasize its contrast.
Dull, deflated, center stage on the soap box.

Steam begins to fill the area,
My hair bubbles and knots with anticipation.
I can’t look away from it.
Smooth and slick, stacked on itself,
Something of a rumpled-still-skin.
Revealing content from beginning to end
It has been left alone and used.

Intermission:
My hair mopes and cries,
But the show must go on!

A second take and there it lies.
Openly boasting- no, gloating really.
A proud pile of sleet
In-cased majestically in a magnum sized suit.
I had to applaud it,
As I Ignored the dinner crawling back up my throat.
