Poem -

A confession to my dad

There was a time in my life Surrounded by burden and strife

I was lost and alone

Convinced I'd have to stand on my own

I held on for so long

Trying to figure out, where I went wrong

But all that time I was kept strong by you

Easing my struggles, making them few

You held onto me firm

Removing those obstacles, with its intention to burn

In me you worked to succeed

Extinguishing the fire of greed

You loved me from birth The only one knowing my worth

Distanced yourself, teaching from afar

I am the strings your fingertips played on the guitar

I drifted away many a times

But you prevented me from committing greater crimes

How did I feel I was ever on my own

When through the years, its only love you've shown.
