CONFLICT AND COMPASSION

Angels, I'm coming back to life to teach a new language
With a new dictionary of words, God helps me build every day
Training my mind changes my perspective and thinking
Because, when mentally strong, nothing can block my way

God has helped me find all the necessary resources
And each day during training, I put a new learning cap on
Reprogramming my mind gives me hope and a greater purpose
Helping others when they're stuck, to grow fearless and strong

The new plans that God sets down before me
Gives me a different perspective on how we were all taught to think
And despite the destruction and the paths we were led down
If we’re marked that’s our armor, it makes us stronger, not weak

I will meet my new mission with great pride, and more knowledge
And Lord, I know that the angels you send to my door
Will join forces, change their thinking, and learn how to live
Without being labelled, and forgotten, or abused anymore

We are the only ones responsible for how we think, or react
And we are the only one accountable for how we want to respond
Take hold of your mind, know your power, and take action
Learn how to speak with respect, despite what might be going wrong

Have a planned agenda every day, for how you will react
And whenever someone in your environment yanks on your chain
Turn and smile, and say sincerely, “I understand you're angry”
But, please, be respectful, and do not speak like this again

Create a universal greeting when you think of all your encounters
Go beyond active listening, speak with compassion and truth
When the tables are turned, and they think it’s you who’ll be yelling
You will respond with respect, and you won’t look like a fool…
