Context

Your context for saying what you had said was quite different,
Yet my thought momentarily paused and then changed paths,

The Indian summer is peaking. It is hot! I was at my fiancee's today
and amidst the general conversation and wishing for some rain, she
just mentioned 'the smell of water' in some context which escapes me.
And I was immediately struck by this wonderment if petrichor, the
smell of the earth just before and at the beginning of rains, is actually
the smell of the water which is raining!
