Contradictions

Poetrys like shaggin your Ex
Comforting and familiar
Yet dull and lonely
Regrets

I could've shown some style
Much better
Used position and timing
To effect

Instead I rushed to the glorious end
To get the fun bit done
Submit to her
Bodies that don't know how to rhyme

It took me as long as this poem did
The disappointment in her eye's
If marked by my tutor
A strong thirty nine

Ill try next week again
As I practice my redrafts with fake taxi
Try some breaths

Breath

And line breaks perhaps

Longer stanzas
And I'll definitely avoid the cliche
Show her
Not tell her

With the voice and audience
Of a King
An artist of love
Through my poetry
