Control

I know who I want to be,
I know what I want to see,
What I want to feel.
And I would like to try and see you take,
Take it all away from me,
Like it's something you can just steal.
I've got a little too much hope,
Too much for you to take,
This is heavy load,
Are you sure it's what you want to take?
You might just break.
You've got a little way,
Of letting your mouth say,
Stupid little things.
Before - they cut me like a knife,
I let it rule my life,
Like it meant everything.
But I don't want that now,
It made me realize,
It made me see the light somehow,
It's not right,
And I can do what I want with my life.
This is how it is now,
And I have found,
That the prettiest feelings can come out of the dark,
Out of a warn out heart.
And I've let you push me on the curb,
Like it's what I deserve,
That I'm meant to just watch,
Whether I like it or not.
But the last straw has blown,
I'm not having any of this anymore,
I'm control.

Like a poem titled "Control" should be..... and...... it can be applied to so many varying scenarios..... although I would imagine it has arisen from a relationship breakdown..... stay strong dear poet sister!!...... writing works!!...... peace n stuff!!.......T xo ?❤
