Control
This poem opens up what’s inside someone who feels angry or confused about themselves
I cannot talk about my anger that burns like black coal,
Nor about my wilted soul.
I can’t grasp a tear drop nor a slanted smile,
My life stuck as strong as a steel tile.
The anger that sits deep inside me,
Won’t go back to its place of mystery.
The fire is blazing like how it burns inside,
My happiness and anger blow up and collide.
How do happiness and smiles start,
Conceal it, my strategies will never be a part.
But maybe I could try it one last time,
Bring back the sunshine and the glory of chime.
The anger that once controlled me & left me to explore,
Won’t follow me anymore! Â
