" On Conversation "

We smile, but oh, sometimes
we do not see it, for the phone itself
Is in our way
through macramé chit chats
We listen
but do not say
the desired "I love You's"
and silhouettes
that stand in our distant sways
perhaps we shall
change our conditions, so that
our words might find
our way
through the primrose undercurrent
of "I love You's", left
unsaid
And the strange euphoric
feelings
we left on our respective
beds
I Love You shouldn't be
imposition
But rather, a slip of the Golden
Nugget (tongue)
we cast when our spirits soar
and our conversation
has just begun
To encompass the here-to-fore's
and forthwith's
But then the I Love You
slips in
And our souls are
rejoicing over and over
again
Until at last
I feel you
In the hidden
laughter
that rides, so secret
on conversation's
wings......
