Corner Store Purchases

Without a purpose I'm worthless.

The ends within me bypass each because they want nothing to do with my lover.

Remind me that I'm something.

A collection of parts plus a brain plus a heart, the last two withstanding being pages apart.

But really they should be. Two thoughts in the dark.

Never to find something bright from the start.

Without being worthless they're surplussed.

Out of stock, out of sight, out of mind, out of my mind it seems.

Hates the sun in the shade, the shade on the beach.

The beach in the rain and the rain in the streets.

Compatibility is impossibility when you have nothing to navigate my sea.

My sea doesn't even exist, I insist.

My sea doesn't even exist.

Without a purpose I'm worthless.

Never wanting more than the service.

If love's for sale, I'll make the purchase

then use it all up and return it.
