Court jester

Love at 1st sight

Danger surrounded her where ever she’d go
Lurking from the shadows were people she didn’t know
Hidden in the dark with voices so sharp were people she once kept close to her heart
Frightened of what may come she faded because the voices kept getting in
She felt so hopeless and scared that no-one truly cared
Then came a bright light that showed her might until that light dimed again which gave her a fright
One to many times she’d thought she was safe until the gate closed yet again
She decided to build a wall so strong so no-one could hurt her like that again
But as she felt all hope was lost a court jester did try her luck she climbed the wall that was so strong and tall
Told guards protecting she’d help them along
She stood by them one by one and whispered she’d be the one
The guards all puzzled tried questioning her but all she would say is I’m here to stay
The faded Queen got up from her knees and looked at this woman who’d climbed the wall with such ease
A big ray of light she did see for she’d knew this time all would be just right
She called to her guards bring her to me and in no time at all the Queen married thee
Now living a happy full filled and kind loving life the Queen and her Court Jester are all that is right

This is a lovely story based, if I am right, on real life. It's a story made for telling in rhyme and to be honest it could almost be a song or ballad. For me the key line is "in no time at all the Queen married thee."
I hope I am right because it is a lovely piece of writing and very satisfying for the reader particularly given the first few lines.

Thanks for your kind words yes you're right it's again about my wife she's given me so much in the past 5, months I failed to receive in 2 different relationships lasting 11 years for 1 and 3 or so  years for the other they gave me doubt and drowned me with pain where my wife has pulled me to safety and revived me giving me more than I could have thought was possible I'm much happier now then I have ever been in my 33 years of life

...and she found love again. I think love found her! May the gates remain open
and let all the light in. Beautifully expressed, Jayjay.
