Creep

Creep

I ever linger from the shadows in turn,
Clutching my stained apron, I yearn,
Urge inexplicably, despicably sneer,
Effortlessly I stalk, I execute fear.

Unsustainable persona bestowed,
I leer from afar, belief that I’m owed.
I thrive on your strife and snigger to myself,
Then offer my hand and some of my wealth.

I’ll show you a good time even in your distress,
Callously laden, I pursue you in stress.
False smile lingers, I am your friend,
Truth be told into madness I descend.
