Crossroads

Looking at the crossroads left and right,

I sit around and stare at the light.

One goes to heaven and one to hell,

I don’t think either of them would help.

Then the devil of heaven comes near,

Speak to me, devil! Speak to me!

Tell me what’s on the left and right.

He held up a cross, and spoke nothing more.

Then the angel of hell comes by,

Speak to me, angel! Speak to me!

Tell me what’s on the left and right.

He held up a sliver of fire, and spoke nothing more.

Talk to me, devil!

Talk to me, angel!

Tell me what’s on the left and right,

Tell me where I should go to make this right.

We went the wrong way,

They said.

We went the wrong way, we made this gone wrong.

Go with your heart, my friend, go with your mind,

Go with your memories, and go with your dreams.

Do I have a dream? Does it exist?

Why am I here? Who could I be?

Why am I wearing this old mask?

But who would take it off and start all over again?

Who am I? Where do I come from?

And where am I heading towards…

I don’t know, angel and devil.

Speak to me! Speak to me!

In a cloud of dust,

Poof! Everything disappears.

Leaving back the crossroads and me,

Their words echoed:

“Go with your memories, and go with your dreams.”
