CRUMPET FOR CHRISTMAS

All I want for Christmas this year is a crumpet
Don't want a fanfare or the sound of a trumpet
You can give it to me in the morning or night
Please make sure though it's cooked just right

Smothered in butter this crumpet must be
Don't have to bother with a cup of tea
Maybe topped with jam or perhaps some honey
I really want a crumpet I'm not trying to be funny

If I like what I taste I will ask for another
Will love it I'm sure like a passionate lover
A crumpet for Christmas is the way to go
That's what I'm hoping for and also some snow
