Crying Behind Laughter

Over the course of time.
People seem to be crying behind laughter I've come to realize.
These so-called happy faces are feeling like they've died.
Wishing past friends that are now gone, stayed.
Tears running down their faces as it touches the blade.
Young girls are worrying about what they weigh.
People have trust issues so on their heart they put a barricade.
The most powerful thing is a young mind.
They're a walking grenade and one wrong move and they blow up a mine.
They hurt the people they leave behind.
Then it just adds on to more people who aren't fine.
We try to find out why God put us here and our life design.
Follow and change things in the storyline,
but sometimes simple things make people happy like having a valentine.
That moment when their special talents can finally shine.
Hold onto life and don't let go like a canine.
When you stop holding on and you decline,
I'd say that's officially the time you've died.
Not when you're on your deathbed saying your last goodbye.
It's when your book ends by suicide.
The one where you feel like you can't possibly want to stay alive,
so continue writing your chapter and your book and live tonight and a lifetime.
Don't leave because somebody said something unkind.
They just don't know the perfect person you are inside.
Hold on harder and show them the strong person who can survive this journey called Life.
