Crystal

Crystal

Listen to what I say
and you better mark this day
    in some way.
I want to get lost in the desert,
    swim through glass shards
to keep from walking on seared feet
and re-imagine that we are all starting over.
Although, there is no desert up here in my corner.

It is round six and I have taken my licks
but the bell has never rung quiet like this.
It certainly doesn't condone the end
for it shivers the throne of my ear bone
and mentions something of a perpetual fight
    between what is clear
    and the fear.

The fear of being lost
    and what is clear
when you have found your way.
